June 14, 2017, Oslo – Aker BioMarine, a biotech innovator and Antarctic krill harvesting company dedicated to improving human and planetary health, has been named as Norway’s most innovative company by Innovasjonsmagasinet, Norway’s leading innovation magazine. Innovasjonsmagasinet ranked 25 of Norway’s most innovative companies and for the first time, Aker BioMarine was named as Norway’s most innovative business. Itera, Nortura, Norwegian, Kahoot! and Schibsted were also on the list for 2017 and DNV GL took the title home in 2016.
According to its latest Annual report, Aker BioMarine generated revenues of USD 117 million in 2016 compared with USD 105 million in 2015, equivalent to 11 percent growth. The operating profit before depreciation and special operating items (EBITDA) amounted to USD 36 million in 2016.
