Meet Our New Director Of Specialty Animal Nutrition Products

Tonje Elisabeth Dominguez has been named as Aker BioMarine’s new Director of Speciality Animal Nutrition Products and will work closely with our brand, QRILL Pet

 

Joining Aker BioMarine from Nordic supplements company Orkla Health, where she has worked for past six years, first as a scientific advisor and most recently as R&D Manager, Tonje brings a wealth of product development experience, nutritional know-how and project management skills to her new role. 

“I am genuinely thrilled to be joining such an innovative and exciting company, which through its consistent investment in scientific research and study shows its commitment to driving pet nutrition ever forward”, says Dominguez.

In her new role, she will responsible for niche krill products demanding in-depth nutritional understanding to identify scientifically proven health effects in current and new animal species. She will also focus on internal and external nutritional product training.

Along with her in-depth understanding of the health market, gained with the Nordic region’s biggest supplier and marketer of sport- and weight management nutrition, omega-3, vitamins and supplements, Tonje comes with thirteen years of direct experience from the pet nutrition market.

Working in a number of different roles with Hill’s Pet Nutrition, including Veterinary Affairs Manager for Norway and Manager of Nutritional Information at the company’s European headquarters, Tonje’s innate knowledge of the pet food business will prove invaluable in her new position. 

“A welcome return to my roots, I am really looking forward to working with this incredible feed ingredient, Antarctic Krill, and how it can benefit the next generation of animal nutrition products”, says Dominguez.

Tonje holds a Master’s degree from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences and has frequently been an invited lecturer at the Norwegian School of Veterinary Science.
