On November 25, 2025, Gambol Pet and Aker QRILL Company officially signed a global strategic cooperation agreement at Gambol Pet Shanghai R&D Center. The decision to partner with Aker QRILL Company - a leader in krill nutrition and sustainable harvesting- was a natural fit.
Aker QRILL Company, MSC-certified since 2006, places ecological responsibility at the core of its business. With proprietary Eco-Harvesting technology, the company minimizes impact on the Antarctic marine ecosystem. The Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) allows harvesting only about 1% of the total Antarctic krill biomass each year, leaving 99% for wildlife like whales and penguins. Aker QRILL Company exceeds compliance, voluntarily stopping operations near the Antarctic Peninsula during penguin breeding season.
