Now, here are some of the main reasons why you should come and see us at Petfood Forum:

1. Learn all about QRILL Pet and its benefits when added to your pet food product

Our QRILL Pet experts will be ready to answers all your questions about the unique benefits of our unique marine ingredient. QRILL Pet is more than just an omega-3 ingredient, being made only from whole dried krill. Our product naturally contains phospholipid omega-3s, a superior form of omega-3s for both pets and humans, choline, astaxanthin and marine proteins. No additives or preservatives are needed.

QRILL Pet is a product of Aker BioMarine and is the first MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certified krill ingredient in the world. For the fifth year in a row, the Antarctic krill fishery has received an "A" rating for its well-managed krill fishery from the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership.

It is well-known that omega-3 fatty acids are important for an ideal pet diet, as they have great health benefits for pets, including healthy organs, skin, and fur. Our dedicated R&D department continuously works on studies regarding the benefits of QRILL Pet on pets. Come and learn about our latest science and dive deep into existing research with our team.

2. Listen to Lena Burri session on omega-3 phospholipids versus triglycerides in Alaskan Huskies

Lena Burri, our R&D Director, will be presenting Aker BioMarine study that uncovers the dietary effects of omega-3s from Antarctic krill meal versus fish oil. Our study measured the differences between the two marine-sourced ingredients, proving which is the most effective when it comes to uptake into red blood cell membranes.

We wanted to assess the efficacy of dietary inclusion of equal amounts of omega-3 fatty acids in phospholipid from krill meal versus triglyceride structure from fish oil to increase the omega-3 fatty acid profile in red blood cells in dogs. Long-chain omega-3 fatty acids are recognized for their positive impact on many biochemical and physiological functions, including skin, heart, liver, and the immune system.

Our research concluded that just six weeks of an 8% krill meal-supplemented diet for dogs was an efficient way to increase the omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (DHA and EPA) levels, meaning phospholipids serve as a more effective means to deliver omega-3s versus triglyceride-bound omega-3s.

To find out more about this, don't forget to attend the session on 23 September 2021.

3. Meet our QRILL Pet experts to learn about our partnership approach to science, marketing and other news

Along with Lena Burry, our QRILL Pet experts with many years of experience in the pet food industry will be at our booth, happy to tell you all about our latest studies and news. They will also share all about our unique partnership approach to science, marketing and our latest partner portal, KRILL Connect.
