Omega-3s are one of the most researched nutrients in the world. However, what about the effects of phospholipid omega-3s on pets?
Our functional marine ingredient, QRILL Pet is one of those super-premium ingredients, rich in phospholipid omega-3s and other important nutrients. We believe in the importance of studying and documenting the health benefits and efficiency of our unique ingredient. The phospholipid omega-3s and other key nutrients found in krill meal (such as choline) have positive effects on vital organs and are essential for the healthy development and maintenance of dogs.
Watch the video below to learn more about our latest study results and the positive effects of krill on vital organs of pets - such as the heart, liver, kidney, brain, eyes, joints, muscles, skin, and coat.
More effective omega-3s from krill
Another recent study has shown once again that phospholipid-bound omega-3s from krill are more effective in raising omega-3 levels in a dog’s body compared to triglyceride-bound omega-3s, such as those found in fish oil.
At the end of our study, there was a 62% increase in the Omega-3 Index in the krill meal group, while the group receiving triglyceride omega-3 in form of fish oil had an increase of only 21% .

QRILL Pet - more than just omega-3s and choline
QRILL Pet is also rich in a powerful antioxidant called astaxanthin that supports immune function and protects all body cells from oxidative stress.
In addition, the marine proteins found in krill are highly palatable and digestible and offer a complete amino acid profile.
Being the first krill ingredient for pet food that was certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) as being sustainable and traceable, QRILL Pet is obviously your more sustainable choice of marine ingredients.
